Why? Because Google Glass, the reality-augmenting facial hardware that’s poised to change the way we interact with our environment forever, made a surprise appearance there. During designer Diane von Furstenberg’s runway show, several of the models emerged wearing fall latest fashions and a pair of Google Glasses. Google co-founder Sergey Brin was also in attendance looking not at all creepy in his very own pair of futuristic shades. It turns out the glasses aren’t just a confusing fashion statement. The models were actually using them to record footage for a documentary about von Furstenberg’s creative process. Early footage looks promising…

Next up, a little while ago DC went and made the Green Lantern gay. Ryan Reynolds, who played the Green Lantern in the recent film adaptation, went to crazy lengths to prove he is not gay by marrying his Green Lantern co-star Blake Lively last night in Mount Pleasant South Carolina. So how not gay does this make Reynolds? Well, he was previously engaged to Canadian songwriter Alanis Morrisette and then he married ScarJo back in 2008 so, now that he’s hitched to Blake Lively we think it’s safe to say that Ryan Reynolds is officially too straight to keep playing the Green Lantern. And finally, Rihanna made waves on Twitter after showing off her latest bit of body ink. The singer got a large tattoo of the ancient goddess Isis underneath her breasts as a tribute to her recently deceased grandmother. Isis was considered a patron of nature and magic, had bird wings, married her brother Osiris and was regarded as the protector of the dead. Just like Rihanna’s grandmother. Also, Rihanna’s Instagram tweet says “always in and on my heart”. Just a quick anatomy lesson for you viewers. The heart is about here. Rihanna’s tweet really ought to read “always over my kidneys”.
