I can’t stand it when pop stars jump on the fashion bandwagon. It’s so annoying. Cheryl Cole, Rihanna and Madonna (‘s daughter – with her mum’s help) are all guilty of it. Stick to performing ladies. I’m not a big fan of pop stars modelling (especially on the front covers of high brow fashion glossies such as Vogue and Elle) either, but it’s a bit more fathomable than going from No.1 to H&M in 4.2 seconds. I also hate it when underground artists go a bit too mainstream – baring their seductive talents to the masses and shedding their mystical attraction.
Since the release of ‘Get Lucky’, Daft Punk have become a household name; And quite rightly so I reckon. Even though the last album was a bit of a let down, they ARE electro gods, FACT! I’d pay an absolute fortune to see them perform live. They had better be at Glastonbury next year, or else!
I was a bit worried that Click and Clack (the Daft Punk robots’ names if you didn’t already know) were selling out by showing up at award ceremonies and getting snapped for fashion editorial, but I reckon they’ve managed to hold in the reign. Pretty much everything they do remains cool. I love these images taken from the forthcoming issue of Fucking Young magazine…. if indeed it is them and not some models pretending to be them! I
