HipHollywood can confirm that contrary to media reports, Chris Brown’s request to enter Australia for his shows in December has not been denied.
Activists in Australia are trying to ban Brown’s entry into their country in December because of the 2009 assault on then girlfriend, Rihanna. Reports to keep Breezy out of the country hit hard last week, leading to several conflicting stories, including that the request had already been denied.
But the singer’s rep tells us exclusively “This request is currently being considered by the office of the Immigration Minister. We respect their right to review this request and have faith that a decision will be made with the full consideration of his continued personal growth, on-going philanthropic endeavors and desire to perform for his fans.”
The rep for Breezy went on to say “Since 2009, Chris Brown has visited Australia on two separate occasions and is looking forward to returning in December.”
Following the string of reports last week, the pop star encouraged fans to still go out and buy tickets … and it looks like his request was taken very seriously. We can confirm that pre sale tickets for both the Sydney show and Melbourne show have sold out.
