Following a busy week in the Big Apple, Rihanna treated herself to some new body art. The "We Found Love" singer, 24, debuted her latest tattoo, which shows an Egyptian falcon flying in the shape of a handgun. She took to Twitter to show it off and explain the message behind the tat, which is located on her right ankle.
"Falcon: a light that shines in the darkness! Never close their eyes during sleep."
This latest design is believed to be Rihanna's 17th tattoo. Click through the gallery above to see more photos of the singer's numerous tattoos.
Rihanna's new ink comes just days after her ex, Chris Brown, 23, got into an altercation with rapper Drake's friends which left the singer with a bloody gash on his chin.
Reports leaked that the bloody scuffle, which took place at Manhattan's Club W.I.P., in the early morning hours on Thursday, was prompted by the rappers' relationships with singer Rihanna, whom Brown infamously dated until 2009 when he physically assaulted her in February of that year.
A law enforcement source told TMZ that the cops currently have "no suspects, complaints or arrest warrants at this time" in regards to the case.
Hours after the incident was reported, a rep for Drake claimed that the "Take Care" rapper had zero involvement with the scuffle.
"He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property," the rep said.
Brown and Drake were reportedly "cooperating" with authorities on Thursday.
